Training and Church Planting
Soma partners with The Equipping Group to help you take tangible next steps in mission and ministry, through your unique gifts and in your specific context.
The mission of God is local and global. Starting from our immediate surroundings, we work toward the multiplication of communities and churches to grow God’s kingdom.
Training
Grow in Gospel Fluency, Everyday Discipleship, and Multiplication
Jesus invites every woman, man, and child to see how He is "good news"—for our past and future, and also for our present everyday lives. And He has equipped every Christ follower with different gifts to participate in disciple-making, mission, and ministry.
In addition to Saturate resources, The Equipping Group works with your group or church to host contextualized training* on topics such as gospel fluency, everyday mission, genuine community, creating a culture for multiplication, and other elements of disciple-making in everyday life.
* Multiple options exist to help training fit your needs and budget: online or in-person, one-time or multi-week, open or closed. Let's talk!
Church Planting
Immersive Training for Each Step of Your Journey
Everyone has a role to play in mission and ministry: our Ministry Discernment Lab is designed to help you discover yours.
Are you considering church planting? We'd love to help you start a church that fits your unique convictions, leadership, and mission field through our Church Planting Lab.
If you've recently planted a church, we invite planters into Early Years Cohorts, to walk together through the varied and tangible realities of the first 1–3 years of leading and serving a new church plant.
Each training lab is designed around the needs and questions of the specific step in your ministry journey, and all three follow the school year calendar. You participate in each while embedded in your local church for personalized development; you complete prep work and assignments on your own time; and you join a group of peers for a "learning lab" for approximately two days every other month along with some one-on-one and cohort coaching. Spouses are meaningfully involved throughout the process, and we work closely with the many denominations/networks who send residents to our training, engaging their input, values, partnership, and assessments.
