SOMA’S VISION IS GOSPEL SATURATION SO THAT EVERY MAN WOMAN AND CHILD HAS A DAILY ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS IN WORD AND DEED.

How is this vision worked out through the mission of the Soma Family of Churches?

The Soma Board serves the Soma Servant Leadership team with a trajectory towards more regional area teams when possible to that Soma Churches are healthy, strengthened and planting churches of missional communities towards Gospel Saturation.

MISSIONAL COMMUNITIES

The local church is the foundation of Soma. Soma churches believe that Gospel communities on mission (or Missional Communities) are the primary organizing structure of the church and the most effective means for making gospel-centered disciples. This is intentional. The Area Teams, Servant Leadership Team and the Board all work to serve our church planting churches.

LOCAL CHURCHES 

We believe the local churches of Soma made up of Missional Communities are the key to this movement going forward. We want to see many more church-planting churches raised up. The Soma Board, the Servant Leadership Team & the Area Teams exist to serve the local churches and the planting of more churches throughout the world.

AREA TEAMS 

We desire to have teams, and not just individuals, leading our local churches and this movement. We anticipate God will raise up teams of diverse leaders within regions and areas of influence. These teams have yet to be developed and deployed. The area teams exist to serve the implementation of Soma’s vision by establishing areas with the five key components: Soma Churches, Church-based training, Shared Resources, Catalytic Area Teams & Partnerships.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP TEAM 

The Servant Leadership Team serves the area teams and the local churches. They are responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the Soma family. This includes, but is not limited to, administration, communication, communication and care for ministry partners, planning and executing events/trainings, resource development, communication with people interested with Soma, lead the church planting assessment process, etc.

SOMA BOARD 

The Soma Board is responsible for ensuring that we all stay faithful to Soma’s ecclesiological distinctives, theological distinctives, vision and mission. The board work closely with the Servant Leadership team to ensure all of our area teams and churches are carrying out the key components for implementing our vision: Soma Churches, Church-Based Training, Shared Resources, Catalytic Area Teams & Partnerships
